Elanga Nominated for a National Language Award
Elanga International was a nationally shortlisted Company at the National Language for Export Awards 2003.
The nomination came in recignition of Elanga international as an innovator in language training. An invitation to a VIP reception with the Duke of York who was to present the awards made this a glittering occasion. The event took place at the Walker’s Stadium Leicester and the shortlisting was achieved through language training with a Derbyshire Flooring Company. The training, which took place in house, culminated in a visit to Paris by company members to implement the training they had leart with their tutor in real life situations. The tasks they completed included; ordering meals, checking into hotels, booking taxis, asking directions and meeting business colleagues to discuss future business.

Elaine says, “… much language learning takes place in a room in isolation. Memories of schooldays still abound. Language comes to life when there is a smile of recognition and understanding on the face of the recipient”.
