Elanga International was founded by Elaine Walker in 1999 who recognised the need for providing flexible tailored language services to busy people who need to achieve results quickly in a constantly changing and diverse world
Elaine, a graduate in Modern Languages, teacher and former Head of Modern Languages in secondary education sits on the East Midlands Regional Languages Network Advisory body in an advisory capacity promoting a greater capacity in foreign languages and cultural awareness for business and employment.
When not entirely office bound and on a more personal level she works as an inspirational and dynamic one to one personal tutor to many people from celebrities and International executives to school children anxious to gain high grades in their french exam. Clients include Warren Barton, SKY TV Broadcaster and England International footballer. Elanga is specialist in the sport sector with clients such as Ben Thatcher, Darren Anderton, Mart Poom Georgi Kinkladze amongst others. Elaine was quick to recognise that Sport is International with many players whose first language is not English.

Elaine regularly writes editorial on such topics as the role of business and languages and is regularly featured in numerous publications including the UK guide to Worldwide Exporting.
Elanga came from a basic recognition that Britain was part of a multi cultural and multi lingual marketplace and that in order to win business and secure deals Britain increasingly had to face the issue of language. Ministers were warning companies that language skills were undervalued and Britain needed to access more trade opportunities by breaking down language and cultural barriers.
Elanga International now has a global network of more than 3,000 professional Translators, Interpreters, Tutors and Consultants. Operational in every language and offering the entire range of language services a day can be very varied indeed.
