Rating of Excellent from every delegate

Elanga was asked recently to deliver a Spanish Language training day to celebrate European Day of Languages at the headquarters of  UK Trade and Investment in Derby. As a provider to UKTI a rating from all delegates who took part in the training was essential and Elanga was rated excellent by every delegate taking part in the day long session being the only Midlands company to receive a rating of excellent from all members on this celebratory training day.

East Midlands International Business Awards 2009

Elanga enters the 2009 East Midlands International Business Awards as a quality assured language provider and trainer to the Regional language Network and UKTI UK Trade and Investment. Elanga’s entry is based on a its position in the Midlands as a language provider who has used effective and innovative language and cultural strategies which have made a positive and direct impact on the trade performance of East Midlands companies.

Warren Barton SKY TV broadcaster learns French

Warren Barton born March 19th 1969 in London English football player transferred to Wimbledon in 1991 and was instrumental in keeping them up in the premiership. In 1995 he became the most expensive defender when he moved to Newcastle for £4 million. He later played for Derby County

When in Derby Warren contacted Elanga to learn French . He was building a property in the South of France having already purchased the land. His playing career had secured friendships for him with French players and he realised that spending more time in France with french people in the community would mean that he would need to be able to speak French. Elanga provided specialist one to one tuition for him for over a year.

In addition to the tutoring Warren received Elanga provided a dedicated PA service to him helping him to sucessfully build his new home.  He was not able at that time to communicate effectively with his builder, architect, plumber, bank  manager and lawyers.  He instructed Elanga to be his trusted communicator on all matters relating to the building of his Southern French house liaising with all people involved in its construction.

Korean Translation helps gain more business

A Derbyshire client working with a Korean company received documentation that they were unable to decipher. On contacting Elanga the PDF was translated and the project is now advancing as the content of the document is now fully understood and business can proceed successfully between Derbyshire UK  and Korea. Elanga breaks the  barrier to International trade where language would otherwise  have been a barrier.

100 New product ranges launched in Europe

A Midlands ethnic food company, this last week , prepares its product range for export into Europe and Norway. All food labels are required to have the ingredient section translated into six European languages and Norwegian.  The company in question required  each one of the 100 food product files to be translated into 7 world languages French, German Spanish, Norwegian. Dutch, Danish and European Portugese. Elanga International not only provides the translation but manages the entire project working closely with the company design studio  ensuring absolute accuracy by proof reading all food labels prior to  going to final print. Each one of the 100 food files is translated into 7 languages.

Emergency French Tutoring

Elanga delivers tailored tuiton to a hotel owner and his wife currently in Derby UK about to leave for their home in France. They have decided to leave England to start a new life. Peter needs to work and has been told that there are jobs available but he needs a good command of French. At this point the hard work began. A service of intensive 1hr-30 minute sessions every other day have been essential to help him to make rapid progress and to prepare adequately for a working life in France. Well done Peter! A brave undertaking!

European Day of Languages

UK Trade and Investment, the government organisation providing language supppport to companies in the UK doing business Internationally and the international trade arm of the East Midlands Development Agency appoints Elanga International as its chosen contractor to design and deliver a one day Spanish interactive language learning seminar in Derby to celebrate the European day of languages on September the 26th 2009. The course will be available to individuals who already have a working knowledge of Spanish and they will be employees of companies already engaged in export. More to come on this story later.
